Why Music?

Music touches the heart and enriches the soul.  If we are immersed in a rich musical environment from a young age, music becomes part of who we are. 

It is now widely recognised among Early Childhood Music researchers and professionals that children benefit greatly from regular exposure to quality music as early as possible in their lives, ideally well before birth. 

No time is too early to begin formal education, providing it is developmentally appropriate.  At The Music Cottage, we believe children benefit in many ways from music education.    We aim to foster and nurture:
